It's still about our children

The image “http://a252.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/13/m_5f1bbd7fabcb1be4c9287409547905fb.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. When I unsuccessfully ran for school board last year, my motto was simple...it's about our children, because our children are our future.

And lately, too many things are clouding that philosophy. The ongoing drama at Northern High (from staff changes to the revoking of the school's athletic championship) is one example. Threatened teacher layoffs across the state is another.

And during all this...this week's psychological nudity of low-stakes end-of-grade testing.

No Child Left Behind...leaving too many of our children behind. And it's enough to ask yourself 'why.'

Then it should be enough to get yourself off the armchair and demand action.

E.C. :)
