New calendar approved

From GCS:

The Guilford County Board of Education approved the 2009-10 academic calendar at its regularly scheduled meeting on December 18.

Highlights include:

• The first day of school for students is August 25

• Winter Break is December 21 – January 4

• Spring Break is March 29 – April 2

• The last day of school for students is June 9
